In this
photo, mom has the look of "The Oracle" , that is how we came to
describe her in later years. An Irish
storyteller for sure, but more than that.
Mom knows. Somehow she did, but
not purely through deductive reasoning, she had access to some other arcane senses.
The dream of
the perfect family, was not of course that - for any of us. June had to weather more personal challenges than most. A strong will, positive outlook - above all
she wanted to laugh and have fun - these got her through. What a great
smile mom. That's what I remember most.
June could be the oracle, without really trying--now these later... methinks that is the only way to be the oracle... without really trying... she let it speak through her... without judgment or deduction
